Patina Miller

Patina Patina PatinaMiller was the lead character in the 1972 Stephen Schwartz Broadway production of "Pippin". In the show, Tony Award winning director Diane Paulus directed "Pippin" and also was starring Matthew James Thomas and Andrea Martin. Terrence Mann and Matthew James Thomas were the actors who also starred. Patina played the character of Ben Vereen, an actor with a Tony Award. She also mastered the movement of Fosse that is so important to the musical. Patina has won an Tony Award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role within a Musical and an Outer Critics Circle Award for Outstanding Actress in a Musical along with Drama League, Fred and Adele Astaire Award and Broadway.com Audience Choice Award nominations for her performances. Her previous role was Leading Player in the American Repertory Theater in "Pippin" in the month of December 2012 until January 2013. Miller made her Broadway debut in the 2011 Broadway season as the gutsy nightclub-singer-turned-nun "Deloris Van Cartier" in the stage adaptation of "Sister Act", which earned her first Tony nomination, as well as Drama Desk, Drama League, and Outer Critics Circle Award nominations for her performance.
